Worldwide bilateral geopolitical interactions network inferred from national disciplinary profiles

چکیده

A disciplinary profile of a country is defined as the versor whose components are number papers produced in given discipline divided by overall production country. Starting from Essential Science Indicators (ESI) schema classification subject areas, we obtained yearly profiles worldwide graph, where on each node sits country, two time intervals 1988--1988 and 1992--2017, fall Berlin Wall being watershed. We analyze empirical pairwise cross-correlation matrices series profiles. The contrast with random matrix theory proves that, beyond measurement noise, bring genuine information. Worldwide human relationships inferred from genome-wide patterns of variation.

Human genetic diversity is shaped by both demographic and biological factors and has fundamental implications for understanding the genetic basis of diseases. We studied 938 unrelated individuals from 51 populations of the Human Genome Diversity Panel at 650,000 common single-nucleotide polymorphism loci. Individual ancestry and population substructure were detectable with very high resolution....

Gene Systems Network Inferred from Expression Profiles in Hepatocellular Carcinogenesis by Graphical Gaussian Model

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in a liver with advanced-stage chronic hepatitis C (CHC) is induced by hepatitis C virus, which chronically infects about 170 million people worldwide. To elucidate the associations between gene groups in hepatocellular carcinogenesis, we analyzed the profiles of the genes characteristically expressed in the CHC and HCC cell stages by a statistical method for infe...

Vesiculation rates of obsidian domes inferred from H2O concentration profiles

[1] Explosivity of rhyolite domes depends on bubble nucleation and growth. To understand these processes, we measure millimeter-scale variations in H2O by synchrotron Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectromicroscopy on interlayered obsidian-pumice samples. The H2O contents of all samples are above the 1-atm solubility value ( 0.10wt.%) and decrease systematically towards vesicular zones, ind...

Comparing the Disciplinary Profiles of National and Regional Research Systems by Extensive and Intensive Measures

In this paper, by modeling national and regional research systems as complex systems, we compare the dynamics of their disciplinary profiles using extensive (size dependent) indicators as well as intensive (size independent) average productivity indicators of scientific production. Our preliminary findings show that the differences between the disciplinary profiles among countries in the world ...

Profiles of disciplinary behaviors among biological fathers.

This study assesses fathers' discipline of their 3-year-old child. Data are from 1,238 mother and father participants in the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study. Latent class analysis (LCA) of nonaggressive and aggressive behaviors, as reported by mothers, indicated four distinct paternal disciplinary profiles: low discipline, low aggression, moderate physical aggression, and high physic...
